Legoland Adventures

Ethan has been saving his dollars for a trip to Legoland. The day had finally arrive and he was bouncing off the walls. Every five minutes he was asking if Legoland was open yet. When we finally turned onto Legoland Drive Ethan started yelling "This is awesome!" Once we were through the gates Ethan was busy opening up the map to find our first destination. Which Ethan decided should be the castle. So we let Ethan lead the way. I am still impressed with Legoland. Of course the rides are not exciting. Actually I believe Matt called them lame. But the park is so kid friendly that I am able to relax and enjoy watching the boys have fun. Hudson was happy playing with the Legos while Matt and Ethan were in line for the rides. Both boys enjoyed the big playland area. Ethan also enjoyed playing miniature golf. We attempted to take Hudson along the course. That was a mistake because he wanted to pick up the ball. I decided to take Hudson to the brick or treat trail. He was unsure at first. They gave us a trick or treat bag and Hudson just stared at it. We approached the first booth and they dropped in candy. Hudson looks at me with a smile and wants to keep walking. The second booth gives him a bag of chips. By now Hudson is clapping. So you can imagine his excitement as each booth gave him more and more food. Luckily the first thing we wanted to eat was the apple. You will notice in the pictures below that Hudson was holding tight to that trick or treat bag. I couldn't get him to leave it out of the pictures. At the end of the day it was time to go shopping at the big Lego store. That was an adventure in itself. Ethan finally picked out Thomas the Train Lego set, a Bionicle Lego set, and a Lego stormtrooper keychain. Hudson got a new hat which he proudly let me take a picture of. Would you believe that I forgot to take a picture of the boys inside the giant pumpkin made out of Legos? Okay I really didn't forget, I must be getting old because I didn't think it was worth fighting the crowd. As we started driving back to Bill and Connie's Ethan says "I think I am going to save more dollars so I can go to Legoland again." Then he fell asleep.
