Back to the Beach

The boys had so much fun yesterday we couldn't resist going back to the beach. We packed some snacks, sand toys, chairs, and towels then headed to the beach. Once we got to the baby beach we learned that it was closed for cleaning. So we were off on a new adventure. This time we went to North Beach. It was very kid friendly, complete with a park. Only problem for me was there was waves. I am sure you are all laughing as you read this because everyone knows there is supposed to be waves at the beach. I just happen to have a hyper four year old with no fear. So I found the waves very stressful! Not to mention the water was a little too cold for me. Thank goodness Uncle Bill and Aunt Connie were there, otherwise Ethan would have been very disappointed since I wasn't going to let him get close to the water. Hudson made is way down to the water, he laughed and watched as Ethan was knocked over by the waves. He even walked over to Uncle Bill to hold his hand. At that point the water touched his feet(okay maybe just past his ankle) and it was all over. He started walking backwards to get away from the water. Then he turned around pointed to the playground and said bye! That meant he wanted me to take him back to the slide. After 20 minutes or so he noticed some other kids eating food. I asked him if he was ready for a snack. He started saying snack and was running towards our chairs. He found his backpack because knew that is where I put the snacks and ate everything in sight. It was another fun day at the beach, and a lovely afternoon for me as the boys have settled into their long afternoon nap.
